Speaker Bios:
Ed Brown: Ed has been involved with IEC Indianapolis since 2007, beginning as an electrical apprentice and graduating from the apprenticeship program in 2011. He currently serves as the Director of Education and Operations and has been an instructor since 2015. At the national level, he has served on the IEC Apprenticeship and Training Committee and contributed to curriculum development, as well as participating in the Codes and Standards Committee, the IEC Foundation, and multiple A&T task groups.
Kathy Gurba: Kathy Gurba has been the Training Director at IEC Southern Colorado for the past 13 years and has served as the Chairperson for National Standardized Exam Committee since 2017. Prior to joining IEC, Kathy worked as a Test Engineer for Ford Motor Company and Intel Corporation. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and the martial arts.
Mark Roche: Mark Roche grew up in Tennessee and has been a Colorado resident for the last 11 years. He has spent the last 5 years in the electrical trade and is a foreman with Force Electric. Mark graduated from IEC Southern Colorado in 2025 and has started teaching 1st year for the 2025/2026 school year. Dedicated to his family, his faith, and our industry.
